Lessons include a picture and short fact sheetabout the com­poser, a suggested listening, a story of the composer’s life, astudy of his music or an event from the time in which he lived, and a review inthe form of a puzzle or game. These take only 20-30 minutes to complete. ReproducibleActivity Sheets from the book are also available separately.

Book 1 covers Bach, Scarlatti, Handel, Haydn,Clementi, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Debussy, Joplin,Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Bartók and Kabalevsky.

Book 2 includes Couperin, Kuhlau, Schubert, Hensel,Mendelssohn, Schumann, Foster, Tchaikovsky, Dvořák, Grieg, MacDowell, Beach,Granados, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Gershwin and Barber.

The Classroom Kit includes Book 1 or 2 with CD and set of 17 activity sheets. Books are also available separately.
